Frage an JRiver Spezialisten bezüglich Streaming

Liebe Forenten,

In einem anderen Thread habe ich diese Frage schon gestellt, möglicherweise war sie aber dort am falschen Platz, daher sei mir hier eine Themen-Neueröffnung gestattet:

Verwendet jemand von Euch JRIver, um Musik via Lan Kabel gefaltet zum Streamer zu schicken? Ist das überhaupt möglich? Mit Foobar ist das kein Problem, ich habe keine Ahnung, ob man das auch mit JRiver bewerkstelligen kann. (Die in JRiver eingebaute Convolving Engine arbeitet mit 64Bit und ist daher der VST-Plugin Lösung von Foobar überlegen)

Also: Musik liegt am NAS -> LAN Kabel -> PC mit JRiver -> Faltung mit 64Bit in JRiver -> LAN Kabel -> Sonos (in meinem Fall G-Sonos). (Mit Foobar konnte ich es so konfigurieren.)

VIelleicht weiß jemand von Euch Rat. Danke herzlich.

PS: ich habe schon im JRiver Forum gepostet, dort konnte man mir zu meinem - offenbar speziellen - Problem (noch?) keine Auskunft geben.

If you mean JRiver reading the audio from the NAS using file sharing, this is perfectly possible.

Faltung mit 64Bit in JRiver -> LAN Kabel -> Sonos (in meinem Fall G-Sonos). (Mit Foobar konnte ich es so konfigurieren.)

If this is done in Foobar using DLNA it must be possible in JRiver too.
How did you configure Foobar?

thanks for your reply, reading files from the NAS work perfectly, but i am not able to configure Jriver to convolve the audio and send it via LAN to the streamer. It seems to me, that JRiver can only implement convolution in combination with a sound card. Because convolution works locally on the pc, but only then.

If this is done in Foobar using DLNA it must be possible in JRiver too.

I think so, too, but I really don´t know how...

Hi Horst

Don’t have a Sonos so take this with a grain of salt

In Tools > Options > Media Network enable DLNA

All DLNA devices pops up in Playing Now

If you select a track you can choose Send To to push it to the DLNA renderer.

I must admit I don’t see any option to invoke any audio option.
Makes me wonder if any DSP option is working when using DLNA.
