USBII HiRes, echte 192khz/24bit, asynchron

The Vision DAC/Preamplifier
http://www.avahifi.com/index.php?option ... Itemid=204

Preis: 1.599,- USD
The Vision DAC/Preamp has all the same functions standard as our great Insight+ SL preamplifier. The only difference is that the CD input is a direct coax connection in from your CD or DVD/CD digital output. It is built using the same rugged AVA SL chassis.
AVA Vision DAC, a versatile digital to analog converter with unsurpassed musicality.

Ultra modern - - - the AVA Vision DAC is an outstanding implementation of the brand new Wolfson 8742 digital chip set. After many hours of testing, prototypes, and listening, we are certain that this Wolfson device provides even higher musical quality than their previous 8740 and 8741 versions. Yes, we built, examined, and prototyped all three versions of the great Wolfson chips here first (along with the ESS Sabre). It has been a three year process to bring you the best possible DAC, and we think the results will tell you immediately that it has been worth the wait.
Versatile - - - the AVA Vision DAC directly accepts 44K, 48K, and 96K bit rates. It can be user adjusted to accept up to 192K 24bit ultra fast input digital data streams too. Simply move one internal jumper.

The design has a 2000 volt per microsecond slew rate and less than 0.0003 percent harmonic distortion. There is no feedback in this circuit at all. There is no voltage amplification so there is no need for tubes, transistors, or op-amps, and none are used. These amazing circuits are based upon an amazing new current amplifier device with a quarter ampere current drive and a standard (resistively set) 560 ohm output impedance. It will drive any rational load, long cables, and passive controls with ease.

The Insight+ SL (straight line) Preamplifier has the same great buffered high slew rate, high current audio circuits as the Insight+ EC in a more cost-conscious chassis.

The Insight+ preamplifier circuits give you all the music and nothing but the music. Our earlier Omega series solid-state preamplifiers were wonderful, but we knew we could do better. When faster components with even more current drive became available, it was back to the drawing board for us. In rethinking the entire design we were able to make huge improvements in the linearity, current drive and speed of the circuit.

The Insight+ preamp has even more of the transparency, dynamic range, linearity and pure music for which Audio by Van Alstine has become known. Listen to all of your recordings again and find all of the space, all of the sounds of the instruments that you'd overlooked before.

Because we use a combination of integrated circuits and ultra+ low distortion current buffers to achieve our musical goals, the cost is much less than you would expect.

Calyx Femto DAC
Preis $6,850
http://www.calyxaudio.com.au/index.php/calyx-femto-dac
Review
Built around twin Sabre ESS9018 DAC chips (8 converters per channel) and utilising dual power supplies, one for the digital circuits and one for the analogue output stage, the Femto DAC offers incredibly low THD (total harmonic distortion) level of 0.0003%, and extraordinary dynamic range measuring 130db.
The Femto DAC has been designed to be the centre piece of a modern digital music system, and as such can be used as a digital preamplifier feeding directly into your power amplifiers, or as a stand alone DAC. Inputs include two optical, two coaxial, two AES/EBU, one BNC and one USB input, all capable of 24bit/192kHz data rates.
The USB input is both USB 2.0 compliant and asynchronous in operation. Output is via gold plated unbalanced RCA outputs, or fully balanced XLR outputs. Like all Calyx products, construction is exemplary, with all aluminium billet construction with superb finishing.
The large display allows easy input selection from across the room via the included remote control, also milled from solid billet aluminium. Internally, the Femto DAC features an extremely high quality power supply encased in its own metal case within the chassis of the Femto DAC.
