heute möchte ich Euch mein absolutes Lieblingsalbum des letzten Jahres in der Kategorie "Gute-Laune-Musik" vorstellen. Zur Gruppe Inti Illimani zitiere ich mich bequemerweise mal selbst (Text ursprünglich für ein anderes Forum):
Ihr wie ich finde bestes Album ist "Canción Para Matar una Culebra" von 1979. Hier findet sich in guter Aufnahmequalität eine stimmige Mischung aus interessant instrumentierten Stücken basierend auf der andinischen Musiktradition - gespickt mit vielen rhythmischen und harmonischen Details die einfach Spaß machen!Martin (frei nach wikipedia etc.) hat geschrieben:Inti Illimani - a politically outspoken folk music ensemble from Chile founded in 1967. They spent many years in exile for their support of Salvador Allende, after the military junta under general (and future dictator) Pinochet came into power.
From Europe, they built a strong reputation in the whole world, based on their prowess as live performers, their musical and social vision, and their opposition to the ruling regime. Today they continue to be seen as ambassadors of Chilean and Latin American music/culture/identity.

Inti-Illimani have changed remarkably little over the years, even through a myriad of (sometimes acrimonious) personnel changes, and persons who have only heard their 21st century output will be surprised at how much this sounds like it. The Andean folk basis of the music is slightly more in evidence, and the arrangements are more stripped down, but for the most part this is still a bouillabaisse of Latin styles sung earnestly and almost academically. The lyrics are politically engaged without being explicitly political. The two instrumentals gracefully merge impressionist harmony, classical elegance, and Chilean mountain tradition. Persons at all familiar with Latin culture will find it impossible to be bored by this album. Like all of Inti-Illimani's best work, this is intellectually engaging, mysterious, and moving.

Derzeit soweit ich weiß nur über amazon.com unter "Available from these sellers." zu haben. Hat bei mir zwar gedauert aber funktioniert. Sonst immer wieder auch als gebrauchte LP zu finden...
