Frage an JRiver Spezialisten bezüglich Streaming
Hi Horst Don’t have a Sonos so take this with a grain of salt In Tools > Options > Media Network enable DLNA http://thewelltemperedcomputer.com/SW/Players/JRiver/Options/OptionsMediaNetwork.htm All DLNA devices pops up in Playing Now If you select a track you can choose Send To to push it to the DLN...

Frage an JRiver Spezialisten bezüglich Streaming
Musik liegt am NAS -> LAN Kabel -> PC mit JRiver If you mean JRiver reading the audio from the NAS using file sharing, this is perfectly possible. Faltung mit 64Bit in JRiver -> LAN Kabel -> Sonos (in meinem Fall G-Sonos). (Mit Foobar konnte ich es so konfigurieren.) If this is done in Foobar using...

There are 2 options. One is to record e.g. the SPDIF out. This is not too difficult. It will tell you what happens at bit level and allows you to rule out that audible difference like between WAV and FLAC or between various players are due to differences in content. In general these type of testing ...

Win 7 - Welche Dienste abschalten?
This surprises me.es bleibt dann leider unter Linux immer noch die ungelöste Treiber-Frage für die meisten USB-Interfaces.
To the best of my (limited) Linux knowledge, it support both UAC1 and UAC2 (Usb Audio Class).
What am I missing?

Latency is a delay e.g. between the moment you press play and the moment you hear the music. This is not necessarily related to sound quality. The nicest paradox is probably memory playback. You press play The file is read from HD The decoder transforms it to LPCM Only and only after all this is com...

Not really I’m afraid
You might try Resplendence LatencyMon as it gives you some reports about max DCP: http://thewelltemperedcomputer.com/SW/A ... ooting.htm
Look for things like virus scanner, WiFI network drivers.
But I must admid it is often a bit of trial and error

A very simple one is to open the Windows Resource Monitor
Look for processes peaking, excessive I/O on the HD, network traffic, etc.

Resolution Audio Cantata MC
You more or less answered your own question. UPnP with all its wacky implementations proves it is not easy to develop reliable software. Secondly most audio companies don’t know anything about computers. They don’t have the budget nor the knowledge to do their own development. USB is a relative simp...

Tags aus mp3tag tauchen in JRiver nicht auf
I don’t know for sure what ID3 versions are supported by JRiver but I wouldn’t be surprised if they support them all. If I open the extended tag panel in JRiver I see ID3.v1 and ID3.v2.3 tags. If you want to know for sure, use MP3Tag to write them all and check the result in JRiver FLAC FLAC allows ...

There might be a mismatch in the names of the tags.

A nice experiment is to boot your PC and open the Windows Resource Manager at first opportunity. You will see a hell of a lot of processes doing all kind of mysterious things. After a while, they all cease and go to rest. They sit there in memory doing nothing. This raises an obvious question, can a...

Konverter USB -> Koax
In principle all USB audio devices being USB Audio Class compliant will run on Win, OSX and Linux. Some manufacturers like M2Tech don’t use the USB Audio standard at all. They have written their own interface (using block mode). This requires a third party driver for each OS. However M2Tech announce...
